Jeremie, 1 hell of a crazyass french guy is leaving tomorrow in about 8hrs time, back to france. it got me thinking how this exchange is now coming to an end, all the crazy stuff we did, all the fun we had, and the bonds that we built. this is the part i hate most about being close to people only to know that they'll be leaving in a few months time, but i will not for the world give up on the chance of meeting this bunch of awesome friends. these people would be huge incentives for me to come back to europe one day, just to hang out with them again.

Jey made dinner for me and elliot today, and he was a little teary. jey is one hell of a crazy guy, he took a photo with the little mermaid, NAKED. he literally climbed onto her, and in the process fell into the sea at 3am in the morning when the water was freaking cold. hahaha. i'll never forget him.

Farewell!

This week was spent mostly in the library preparing for exams. Not much studying was able to be done as we were constantly fooling around, having long lunch breaks, and then coffee breaks an hr after lunch breaks. haha. i like the cbs library though, really nice.

Went to Nexus today for some beer and just chilling. Nexus is our equivalent of Ice Cold Beer in SMU, but with more people and nice music, which becomes a 'club' after 10pm.

and tomorrorw, it's manchester! OLD TRAFFORD HERE I COME!!!! WHOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Was at Riga over the weekend with ben, elliot and JS. FYI, Riga is the capital of Latvia and they only gained independence in 1991 after getting screwed over by almost everyone in Europe, most notably Germany and Russia(USSR then). As a result of this, the country seems to be still in search for an identity, something to call their own, some place to hold their future.

All the touristy spots were within 10mins walk from each other, and is able to be completed within maybe 6hrs or so. That's how small the area is.

And food was so damn cheap there, amongst every other thing. This was the first time in europe that i was able to eat anything and everything that my heart desired. it felt so good. food definitely makes me happy.

We also found this really classy and chic bar atop a 26 storey hotel, with french windows that literally overlooked the city's 'low skyline'. All of us loved that place so much, we went back the second day and stayed there for a at least a good 6hrs in total, just enjoying each other's company and the scenic view. helped that drinks and snacks there were really cheap.

There was this really nice shopping centre just outside our hostel, and some really nice cars which really stuck out like a sore thumb in the poorest country in the EU.

Definitely one of the best trips i've had in europe. Beautiful city with lovely company.
